Organization of classes

  1. Classes take place in Medical Simulation Center (Pomorska 251 str, building A1, XII and XIII floor) in the form of exercises in clinical groups and seminars in dean’s groups. Classes are carried out stationary or on-line on e-learning platforms depending on the epidemiological situation.
  2. The general principles of order, personal culture and respect for the entrusted property apply during the exercises. The use of scientific aids (phantoms, simulators, computers, AV equipment, etc.) is possible only under the supervision of the teacher. Persons responsible for the damage, destruction or disappearance of teaching aids or other objects during classes are obliged to provide replacement for it. If this is not possible, they will have to participate in the costs of repair or purchase of new ones.
  3. At the beginning or at the end of classes in individual classrooms, the attendance list is checked. Please, do not be late for classes. Three delays will result in lowering the final exam score by 2 points. Getting late will be noted by the lecturer on the attendance list.
  4. During classes students are obliged to wear an ID in a visible place, wear a clean apron or other required clothing and wear changed shoes. Depending on the epidemiological situation and university-wide recommendations, students should have their own personal protective equipment in the form of disposable gloves (min. 3 pairs per 1 stationary exercise), a surgical mask or preferably KN95 mask and hand sanitizers. Outerwear and footwear should be left in the prepared lockers located at the Western Hall or in the cloakroom at the UM Didactic Center.
  5. Students are obliged to attend classes with their own student group according to the timetable. Students who have the right to the Individual Course of Study or the Individual Organization of Studies are obliged to send at the beginning of the semester a copy of the document confirming it to the coordinator or head of the subject and the proposed timetable .
  6. Attendance at all classes is obligatory. Absence caused by illness, involvement in the work of the University or sports activity within the representation of the Medical University and absence due to other official matters must be justified by a sick-leave written by a doctor or other official and written document issued by appropriate institution. Oral excuses, personal explanations sent by e-mail will not be taken into account. Unjustified absences can not be made up.
  7. Justified absences must be made up at a different time with another clinical/dean group. After presenting the justification, you should immediately contact the coordinator of the subject or Secretariat of the Medical Simulation Center. The date of making classes up will be scheduled individually depending on the organizational possibilities along with adding student’s name to the appropriate attendance list. It is not possible to make classes up on your own without the above-mentioned notification. In case of absence from the last classes on a given topic, other forms of making classes up arranged individually with the lecturer are allowed (e.g. individual credit outside the CSM on duty in the clinic) but teachers are not obliged to provide such possibility.
  8. Students with unjustified absences will not be admitted to the final exam in the subject.
  9. Situations going beyond the presented regulations will be considered on the basis of the general Regulations of Studies at the Medical University of Łódź.
(All the above-mentioned regulations are included in the Syllabus of the Physical Diagnosis I)
